Here I am, back and missing Seoul already!
Let me tell you that I just did a photoshoot for my first billboard-commercial project and it went very well! YAY! it was so exciting
Ah.. what would I be without my awesome team, eh? :)

More details soon, fingerscrossed everything will be smooth and fine until the end of this project.

Hi all!

I am writing this blog in a quiet internet room at Chung-Ang University (중앙대학교) waiting for my new friend Okty while she finished her class. The university is located at Insa-Dong, I took a lot of pictures of the street, buildings and houses near this area. The sky is blue and clear, the weather is also nice, sometimes you'll catch a cold windy breeze, but nothing I couldn't handle of. Everything (the building, the street) looks complicated yet neat, it's almost as if I'm living in Sims City. I didn't bring my laptop so I will show the pictures later, but I am in love with this area, so many alleys, cafe and cute little restaurants to explore.

I've been in Seoul for about 2 days and loving it so far. With Instagram and free wi-fi rolling around everywhere, it's so easy to share some of the pix i've taken.

This one is taken yesterday, somewhere between the Teddy Bear Museum and Seoul Tower. Look at those hungry birds, they were quick!

After gazing the tower for hours and hours or so, we went to Namdaemun and Myeong-dong market. I was being completely impulsive and spent most of my Won there, so now my cash's running low and my head's filled with regret. :/

why should I buy all four pair of shoes? I could just pick two and that would be more than enough!

It's getting chilly at night, so I gotta put on some socks before went to bed. We stay at a place called 2nd Pencil Hostel located at Hong-Dae area. We haven't explore the area yet, but we had our first breakfast in a place called Soulbeat Cafe, it's a 1 minute walk from our hostel and they got some cool interior going on.

1st morning in Seoul, I was ready to have some good Korean breakfast

That's it for now, I gotta go out for some fresh air and maybe take a quick look around and snap more photos. Til my next post!

Look what I got from my lovely friend Peca, she just got back from Seoul and brought this red cutie-pie for us.

Yay I got this cool new jumper from Alodita, she bought it in Bali. I love it <3

This is definitely go inside the suitcase, you're going to Soju land with me, new friend ;)

Yup! I just posted my very first instagram photo today. tee-hee, who knows it's actually kind of fun!
Anyway, Yuko just did a photoshoot for Anonymous The Label this morning. The team worked really hard and yes, Yuko is tired to the bones, but hey, Yuko also had so much fun, so Yuko is not complaining at all :)
Besides, they gave Yuko a very cool giant ring afterward. Yuko LOVES IT!
Yuko always have a thing for big rings, and this one is definitely a keeper. ♥
Yay to another Frootloops in September :)
Now it's time to get some deep long rest, have a good Friday, everyone!

Yeap! this is the sort-of-alien in HK I was talking about! Disappointing? Well, you do know that expectation really does kill, right? now that's another something to learn for today: expectation kills. expectation is a cold-hearted b*. but seriously, even though it weren't real alien-from-space thingy, I thought these photos were hilarious! We were trying this new camera, it has Panoramic feature that'll digitally wreck your face so bad!

ha-ha.

but I have to admit, the scene on the background's badass. So it's all good, you silly camera.

Becausein this case, not just technology has figuratively alienates us from the people close/near tous, it could literally alienates our whole appearance too. (I don't know what or how alien really looks like, but in my head, these above might close :p)

Life and Pig experimentation. | Conversation with Yuko vol.1

Imagine this situation:

Your friend called you, it's been a while since the last time you met, so you were very happy to talk to him/her. First you talked about what project you were working on, what goes on in your life, current news, the good and bad rambles and all.

You had a long nice conversation, said goodbye and finally hung up the phone.

You're going back to work, but there's this one sentence he/she blurted out earlier and you just can't get it off your head. You think about it when you had dinner, when you're about to go to bed, and again the next morning. Hell, you even think about it while picking out which shoes to wear. It just haunts you. It was not an intelligent statement nor a wisdom literary but a different point of view of how he/she contradicted the way you've been perceive certain things - say, about life, love or maybe death - in your whole life.
From a simplest form of articulation, the sentence leads you to another theory that leads to another level of great understanding. A new - and perhaps - better perspective.

Have you ever felt or been in similar circumstances? I wish I had that phone call and that exact same conversation with this friend years years ago, but if it had happened long years ago, will it affected me deeply the same way like it did to me now?

The way I see it, buddy, you got an epiphany.

Some people travel half the world to find it. You got it on an almost 2 hours phone conversation, so you got lucky, or whatever. Just be grateful about it, go out, feel the sun and stop asking questions, will ya?

Was it really an epiphany, Yuko? It feels good. I want more of it.

It gives me a bang and a bit of nauseating feeling as well, but I like it. It does feel good.

How many epiphanies one can get in a week, month or year?

Will it change my life? To a better, I suppose?

Hihow are you?

Irealise my blog was in hiatus for quite a while. I just got back from mytrip to Hongkong and China.

Soyeah, I’m home now. I don’t feel good though being home. When I said home, I meant the city where I born and raised.

Ohboy, how Jakarta’s traffic depresses the hell out of me.

Thething is, I very much enjoy walking to the nearest park to read books, walking to bus stop, taking tubes, buses to go for a culinary trip, meeting friends on the other side of town, or going to the museum every weekend. I very muchenjoy that.

Withbad public transportation system and paranoid mind like mine, it’s so muchbetter to take private car to wander this city. What can you do when youconstantly trapped in the car, in the street? I got dizzy every time I read abook in the car – not in the plane or train though, so I tweet, text friends,or probably sleep. Worse is when you have to drive yourself, which is veryexhausting. Everywhere you go, you sort of trapped in a way.

Thewhole process you got to go through to get from hypothetical A to B is wasting so much time, energy and rather uninspiring.

Atleast I should be thankful for I could drive around with a car though, causeI’ve used public transportation in Jakarta several times, mostly while I was inhigh school. Trust me, it’s even more depressing than the traffic itself. Theyown the street, you know, those drivers. They cut lines, and stop whenever theywant to.

Well,I did a lot of walking while I was in HK and China, although my feet went soreby the end of the day, I sure as hell won’t complain about it. I like to walk.It’s the thing/exercise I’m very lack of in Jakarta. –That, if you don’t count walk inthe malls as ‘the walk’. I spent most of my times in Shanghai. All cars inShanghai drive like mad. Apparently they’re very fond of honking and veryreluctant on hitting the brake, I’m serious, but they have good transportationsystem though, so to me, they’re OK.

Lovelything about taking public transportation such as bus, train or tube is theexperience of seeing and observing strangers. Their clothes, shoes, glasses,what kind of newspaper-magazine-book they read, their body languages and facial expressions, it all somehow excites me.

Sometimes I imagine and even make up their story just for the sake offun. How this particular lady got cigarette burns at the bottom of her pinkwrinkly skirt, and what’s on this old fellow mind, looking through the windowwith his hand tucked into his jacket. Was he thinking of the good ol' days? He looked very old, I'm guessing around 60-5, he has big dark circle under his eyes and a set of happy brown eyes, it looks happy because it shines. He’s probably onhis way to meet his grandchildren. I bet he’s holding a gift for them right inhis big puffy jacket, he won’t let go of it, so he won't lose it, and what kind of gamesthese kids in front of me were playing? They looked like they had helluva time, giggling andpush each other around. Boy was it nice to be kids and all. All and all, mymind is running like mad, and - voila! I've reached my destination. It’s timeto get off of this inspiration box.

Nowwhen you think about it, they (buses, trains, tubes) are like a moving, runningboxes filled with interesting and inspiring living things. How can you not loveit?

Iwrite and read a lot during my trip to China, especially in Shanghai and Beijing, will try to makenew artwork out of it, I will post pictures and stories later, but right now Ineed to deal with this awful feeling, geesh I’ve been here for only 2 nightsand sick of it already? The only good thing about Jakarta is that most of mygood friends live here. Is that all? I don’t know, maybe I should write downthe lovely part of living in Jakarta, cause I’m sure there’re so many of it. I’msure. Yeah.

Butfor now, my feeling for you leans toward bitter.

It's nearly half a year and the future of imported films still as clear as f* mystery. Some of my friends went to Singapore a few days ago to catch X-Men: First Class, The Hang Over Part II and Super 8. They sure had a great time down there.

Fool's Gold Asian Sensation Tour: A-Trak & Congorock @ Blowfish

I'm not really a nightclub type of gal, but I'm such a huge huge hug fan of A-Trak. He scratches and juggles unlike any other DJ! if you haven't heard of him, go youtube him now, and you'll know what I'm talking about :) , and yeah, I was excited to see the performance of one of the world's GREATEST turntablist here in our city, Jakarta♡ whoop whoop~

So there was no hesitation when my friend, Nakita Massardi asked my help to documented the event. Didn't take pictures as many as I thought I would, though. Probably cause I was completely in AWE most of the time. Both Congorock and A-trak were fantastic and smashing the crazy monkey fun to every corner of the club. In conclusion, FOOL'S GOLD rocks my boat hard♡

I get so inspired by watching how chef José Andrés, the avant-garde food visionaries, having so much fun doing what he did, how he delightedlyexplain the cooking technique he uses in his food, and how an ingredient assimple as pineapple could excites him, it is amazing.

PRACTICAL MAGIC

The collaboration with accessories extraordinaire, Sou Brette, by Muqliza Imroni and shoe line Aztecat, by Agnes Stephanie Cathykana made the whole Practical Magic collection looks “magical”

The entire collection is designed to turn your life into one big magical-fantasy frenzy for everyone waiting for magic to happen with their lives. It’s all about what you believe, how you feel and what you wear. These changes your beliefs, your thoughts and feelings, and magically, your world changes. I've always liked Bjork since her first Debut album,
but I never paid any attention to her lyric in the song Joga.
Now after I experienced that car accident in late February 2009 that turned my life upside-down, I found a spiritual enlightenment that only God can provide. He made all things clear as crystal, He assured me that nothing is coincidental (because He holds the blueprint of my life, including my future), and I start seeing things beyond reality.
The lyric in this song pretty much emphasizes my spiritual journey.. Now I'm no longer puzzled nor confused. I live a purposeful life, and I have found out that the true meaning of joy and peace is when we rely on God's commandments, do God's will for our life and for others, and just dance with destiny.
Remember that when we see the invisible, we can do the impossible.
God is good, God is gold, God is grace :)

Let me take you on a trip down to memory lane as my teensy-weensy way to celebrate our holy king's birthday and to reminisce. As you can find right ➜(here), I've visited and completely blown by the enchanting Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, I'm going to tell you more about it now :)

So this is the bus that supposed to take you from Mitaka station ➜ Museum, we were budget travelers so we determined to walk by foot. It took probably a good 10 minutes walk to the museum. From a very brief-walk I did back there, i see Mitaka as a very peaceful town, engaging scenery are easily found in most corners, everything seems pretty neat and bright.

i took pictures of every designated Ghibli's sign on the streets, which were lots! i believe at some point, my friends gotten so annoyed by my shutterbug behavior. they didn't say but the faces were pretty much tells it all xD


For those who needs to know: always buy the tickets from LAWSON store and in advance!

Arrived at Hayao's secretchamber! (well yeah, maybe not a secret) YEAY :D ,sadly we are prohibited to take any pictures inside the museum. awww:&lt;

Took this inside ghibli's toilet. aaa-haaa-ha. . i'm such a dork and i cant help it, the decor was SO awesome so i CANT help but take pictures, pls forgive me x3

Honestly cannot tell you WHAT was the thinking behind this image. i guess i was too overwhelmed by all the awesomenesssuffused in every corner of the museum, and it baffled me into thinking "this frickin canister is worth the frickin shot!"
